ISRAEL RELIEF FUND - STOP THE SIRENS
The Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA), partnering with the Union for Reform Judaism and the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism, is leading an emergency effort to raise and distribute $30 million in cash to address the urgent and immediate needs posed by the barrage of rocket attacks on Israel, with the understanding that these funds will be deployed to meet needs over the the next two weeks and beyond. The Jewish Federation of Madison has been asked to help raise $33,904 as soon as possible. This request is in the context of complete uncertainty about how long the current conflict will last or the degree to which it might escalate. The only certainty is that we as Jews are obligated to take care of Jews in need wherever they are. So far we have received 92 generous gifts from members of our community and raised $20,000. We are still far short of the amount needed. Please consider contributing if you have not yet. If you have already given, please consider increasing you gift.
