ISRAEL RELIEF FUND - STOP THE SIRENS

The Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA), partnering with the Union for Reform Judaism and the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism, is leading an emergency effort to raise and distribute $10 million in cash to address the urgent and immediate needs posed by the barrage of rocket attacks on Israel, with the understanding that these funds will be deployed to meet needs over the the next two weeks. The Jewish Federation of Madison has been asked to help raise $11,300 as soon as possible. This request is in the context of complete uncertainty about how long the current conflict will last or the degree to which it might escalate. The only certainty is that we as Jews are obligated to take care of Jews in need wherever they are. As of 7/23 we've raised $7,522 - with a few more days to go.

MAY THEIR MEMORIES BE FOR A BLESSING
The Jewish Federation of Madison, together with the entire Jewish Community of Madison, express our profound condolences to the families of Eyal Yifrach, Naftali Fraenkel and Gil-ad Shaar. We join with the people of Israel and the worldwide Jewish community in mourning these tragic deaths.

The bodies of the three boys kidnapped on June 12th were found by Isreali troops to the north of Hebron. People worldwide have been praying and campaigning for their safe return since their capture 18 days ago. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families.
