Since its opening in 2002, the Irwin A. and Robert D. Goodman Aquatic Center has become a favorite swim spot for both the general and Jewish communities. The Aquatic Center is located on the Irwin A. and Robert D. Goodman Jewish Community Campus in Verona, 7762 County Highway PD.

More than 10,000 swimmers each summer now enjoy the 5,500 square-foot outdoor pool. The pool’s six 25-meter lanes make it great for competition and lap swimming. And the zero-depth entry makes it easy for small children and those with wheelchairs or special needs to enter.

When swimmers are out of the water, the pool’s shaded area and deck chairs offer a great place to lounge with friends and family.

The pool opens the Saturday after Madison Public Schools close through Labor Day weekend. The general hours are 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on weekends, and 4:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on weekdays after Camp Shalom sessions.

The Jewish Federation of Madison owns and operates the pool. Madison School and Community Recreation manages the pool, provides the lifeguards, and offers a variety of swim classes. For a copy of the summer MSCR Recreation Guide contact MSCR at 204-3000.
