Shaarei Shamayim, Madison’s Jewish Reconstructionist and Renewal congregation, welcomes new and prospective members, as well as visitors, to participate in our services, discussions, and celebrations. The following events may be of particular interest to the Madison Jewish community. Benefit for The Anna (Syvertsen) Fund
Sunday, June 3 at 1:00pm to 4:00pm
High Noon Saloon, 701 East Washington Ave.
 
Come listen to a variety of great music while helping a dear member of our Jewish community.  This benefit is for Anna Syvertsen, who is recovering from a recent spinal cord injury.  All proceeds from the benefit will go directly to helping the Syvertsen Family.  The musical line-up includes:  The Recons (klezmer), The Prescriptions (rock 'n roll/blues), and Flora and Friends (chamber music).  Suggested donation is $10 for adults and $5 for children under 13.  Donations over the suggested amount are welcome.


Erev Shabbat Potlucks
Fridays, June 1 and July 6 at 6:00pm

Join us in celebrating Shabbat at our first Friday of the month potlucks on June 1 and July 6 at 6:00pm. Social Action Potluck
Friday, June 29 at 6:30pm

Our social action potluck will take place on June 29 at 6:30pm.  This special Shabbat potluck is a time to reflect and share insights about engaging in the work of tikkun olam, repair of the world.  Please bring a vegetarian dish to share.  To RSVP and for directions please contact Susan Anderson and Ron Serlin at anderson@biostat.wisc.edu or contact the office.

Erev Shabbat Services and Dessert Potluck

Prairie Unitarian Society, 2010 Whenona Drive

Join us in welcoming in Shabbat with Friday night services starting at 7:00pm, followed by a dessert potluck.  Please bring a sweet treat to share.

Torah Study and Shabbat Services
Saturday, June 23 at 10:00am
Prairie Unitarian Society, 2010 Whenona Drive
