The fifth annual Camp Shalom Scholarship Fund Raiser was a huge success this year.  The “Shop, Sip, Nosh, Give” event combined with the raffle sales raised close to $9000.  This was a very important event this year to raise much needed funds to provide scholarships to campers who would otherwise be unable to attend Camp Shalom.  Camp Shalom has already given out over $100,000 in scholarships this year, with the average family income around $14,000.  The amount of scholarships needed continues to increase while the median family income decreases. In addition to the generous donations that come in from businesses and individuals, this fund raiser plays a key part in raising the needed funds to send children to camp.  Camp Shalom has always been proud to say that we have never had to deny a child a camp experience based on financial need.
