The Madison Area Jewish Education Scholarship Fund

The Purpose of this fund is to provide financial assistance to Jewish middle and high school students in order to further the Jewish education that such students undertake during the school year.

Awards may be given to students for one or more of the following programs:

  • Jewish overnight summer camps or other programs of at least two weeks duration that focus on Hebrew or Jewish education. Such camps or programs may, but do not need to, be affiliated with the Reform, Conservative, or Orthodox movements so long as their primary focus is Hebrew or Jewish education.

  • Organized trips to Israel with an educational focus. Such Israel trips shall include not just summer trips but also year-long or semester-long high school programs in Israel.

  • Other Hebrew language or Jewish education programs may be considered.

  • Funds shall not be provided to otherwise eligible youth who are attending camps or other organizations or programs that do not support (a) the mission of the Federation and (b) the State of Israel.
