Madison Yiddish Choir is a community choir with approximately 15 members. Started in December 2000, the choir has enjoyed recapturing a Yiddish world through its music, with lyrics in Yiddish, Ladino, Hebrew and English. New members are welcome!
The choir has historically rehearsed weekly on Sundays from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm at Beth Israel Center with conductor John Mysliwiec. Regular rehearsals have been on hold due to the pandemic, but we meet for camaraderie on Zoom and periodically sing together outdoors. Pre-Covid, the choir occasional performed at community events.
