Community Programming

Jewish educational and social programs throughout the year for the community include the holiday celebrations, parties, and events below:

 

Yom HaAtzmaut Celebration

Our annual Israel Independence Day community celebration. Past year's festivities included comedian Benji Lovitt, BBQ, a sing-along, an art workshop inspired by Chanoch Piven, a torch ceremony, performances, Israeli snacks, a hummus-making contest, speakers, and an Israeli wine-tasting class.

 

Community Yom HaShoah Service & Program

Our annual Madison commemoration includes a service to honor local Holocaust survivors and their families and a chance to remember the Shoah together as a community on Holocaust Remembrance Day. The service is followed by a special program with a speaker or presentation.

 

Hava Nagila Jewish Community Picnic

Our annual summer celebration at the Goodman Jewish Community Campus with fun for all ages, including activities, games, entertainment, inflatables, swimming, food, giveaways, and more.

 

The Jewish Federation of Madison has also co-sponsored the following community events:
