Future Directions

Future Directions is geared for people in their 20s, 30s and 40s who are new to Madison or who have already lived here for a while and would like to learn more about the Madison Jewish community and get involved.

This year-long program happens every other year and consists of informal discussion groups throughout the year pertaining to topics like Jewish religious life in Madison, the history of the Madison Jewish community, Jewish education, Middle-East relations, etc. It is designed to give participants exposure to what is happening in the Madison Jewish community as well as the larger Jewish community. Potential participants are recommended to the program by a board member, staff member or another community member and then they are invited to participate.

At the conclusion of the program, we hope that people will pick an area that is interesting to them in which they’ll want to continue to share their ideas whether it is on a committee, on a board, or volunteering one to one.
