NEW - For Children 18 - 23 Months Old
Starting in Fall 2017 we will have a classroom for children who will be 18-23 months old by September 1st, 2017.
BET - For Children 2 to 3 Years Old
Named for the second letter in the Hebrew alphabet, the Bet program runs from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm. The Bet program emphasizes social play and language development. Our warm and nurturing staff provides stimulating and engaging age-appropriate activities that make this often first separation an easy one.
The program includes an introduction to Jewish themes and holidays, learning centers, and plenty of outside play time. We offer Israeli programming and yoga enrichment activities, and a weekly all-school musical celebration of Shabbat. Children must be two years old and do not need to be potty-trained.
GIMEL - For Children 3 to 4 Years Old
Named for the third letter in the Hebrew alphabet, the Gimel program runs from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm. The Gimel program offers a wonderful stimulating environment where energetic teachers encourage children to develop independence and foster their creativity.
Gimel students learn about the importance of being good friends and active participants in group activities. Children learn about Jewish holidays, customs and traditions, and participate in Israeli programming and creative movement classes.
They also explore learning centers, play outside, and go on field trips. Each week culminates in an all-school musical celebration of Shabbat. Children must be three years of age and need to be completely independent in their toileting.
DALET - For Children 4 to 5 Years Old
The Dalet Program, named for the fourth letter in the Hebrew alphabet, runs from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm. Dalet offers a wonderful, stimulating environment where the give and take of friendships grow. Children develop self-confidence, expand interests, and learn skills that serve as the building blocks for success in future school years.
With over 50 years of teaching experience at Gan, Dalet teachers focus on the importance of the three R’s of preschool… respect for self, respect for others, and responsibility for one's actions.
Highlights of the daily program include Jewish music, Hebrew vocabulary, literacy and language arts, science and math centers, daily art experiences, and plenty of play time outside. Dalet students also participate in enrichment activities, including a creative movement class, sports activity play, Israeli programming, and field trips in our community.
Children celebrate a joyous Shabbat and Havdalah along with the other Jewish holidays. Children must be four years of age and independent in their toileting.
