6:00 pm — Evening Services & Yizkor Memorial Service
7:00 pm — Dairy Dessert Sampler

It’s customary to eat dairy on Shavuot.

This year we’re asking you to provide your favorite or best dairy dessert for all to nosh on as part of our holiday happenings. Sample them all, or just a few and let us know which dessert should be named the Dairy Dessert of 2015! If you’re interested in submitting a dairy dessert or for more info contact Aleeza Hoffert, at 608-238-313 or program@templebethelmadison.org.

7:30 pm — Text Study and Discussion

“Judaism as a Multi-Ethic Faith: Values and Behaviors for Our Times: an Exploration of Mussar/Jewish Ethical Writings” As Shavuot celebrates the giving of Torah at Mt. Sinai, we ask ourselves: How do ancient commandments apply to us and our world? What can we derive out of the behavioral guidelines of our heritage? We will explore the Jewish approach to the phenomena of Anger, Acceptance, Worry & Trust.
