Special guest Rabbi Robins will lead services at 9:30 a.m., utilizing the liturgy to explore symbols, metaphor, and meaning as healing tools. There will be a vegetarian potluck following the service; please bring a dish to share. Following lunch, from 1:30-3:00 p.m., please join us in the Gaebler Living Room for a discussion with Rabbi Robins, sharing thoughts, feelings, and reflections that arose during the Shacharit service. In the evening, we will gather in a member’s home for Havdalah. Rabbi Rochelle Robins currently serves as the Dean of the Chaplaincy School, as well as Director of Clinical Pastoral Education, at the Academy for Jewish Religion/California, the Los Angeles-based interdenominational institution dedicated to the training of rabbis, cantors, and chaplains.
