Join us for a special social action potluck at 6:00 p.m. Longtime peace activist and feminist Penny Rosenwasser will discuss her new book, 'Hope into Practice: Jewish Women Choosing Justice Despite Our Fears.' She shares the gritty personal stories of contemporary Jewish feminists which imbue her calls for the centrality of Jewish multi-culturalism and healing, as well as her advocacy for security, dignity, and self-determination for Israel and Palestine. 'Hope into Practice' is grounded in the precept of tikkun olam, repair of the world, and concludes with a 38-page action-oriented Reader's Guide, a tool for organizers and activists. Penny Rosenwasser is a founding member of Jewish Voice for Peace and lives in the Bay Area.
