'Nicky's Family' (96 minutes) tells the nearly forgotten story of Nicholas Winton, an Englishman who organized the rescue of 669 Czech and Slovak children just before the outbreak of World War II. He is now 105 years old and did not speak about what he had done with anyone for over 50 years. This movie tells his story, and also the story of the children he rescued, their descendants, and how they are now giving back to the world to honor Nicky. Renata Laxova one of the children rescued on the Kindertransport will be attending this screening to answer questions about the Kindertransport and her experiences. The film is free and no tickets are required.
