The book of Ecclesiastes has often been read as a cynical and pessimistic book, but it can just as authentically be read as a meditation on impermanence and a vibrant call to living in the moment. This class will engage in a close reading of this ancient book of wisdom, exploring its historical context as well as its spiritual relevance to our lives. Although we will engage with the original Hebrew text, no knowledge of Hebrew is required. This will be primarily a discussion-based class.
The fee for this class is $60 for members/$95 for non-members. Scholarships are available. Please register soon - we need a minimum of ten participants registered, or we'll have to cancel the course. Contact office@shamayim.org for more information.
