Professor Emeritus Michael Apple will discuss his recent book, The Struggle for Democracy in Education, which examines how and why rightist movements have been successful in changing education, and also describes some movements in schools and communities both here in the US and elsewhere where more democratic policies and practices have been defended and extended.
