Edgewood College professor Steven Davis will present the arguments he makes in his 2018 book, In Defense of Public Lands: The Case Against Privatization and Transfer, which advocates that public lands should remain in the public's hands. He will discuss the data and theoretical arguments from biological, economic, and political perspectives in order to build a case for why our public lands are an invaluable and irreplaceable asset for the American people.

Steven Davis is a member of CSS and a Professor of Political Science and Environmental Studies at Edgewood College in Madison where he has taught since 1994.
