Thinking about building a family with Judaism being practiced in the home? Wondering what that might look like? Struggling with particular challenges of what that means? Want to share your successes? This session, led by Rabbi Laurie, is for anyone - single, divorced, or coupled, straight or LGBT - who is raising a Jewish family, as well as anyone who might be considering it in the future. We'll address the blessings of building a Jewish family, discuss how to negotiate differences around religious practice (either across religion or within Judaism), look at common situations that arise in parenting, and learn about helpful resources. This is an opportunity to meet each other, build connections, and take home some news ideas. All are welcome - feel free to send this invitation to others. Feel free to bring a snack to share. Please RSVP to Joy at office@shamayim.org. If you need childcare, please let her know.
