Join us for this virtual program to learn about Chag HaSigd, a special holiday of Beta Israel, the Ethiopian Jewish Community. Chag HaSigd takes place fifty days after Yom Kippur, and as Yom Kippur is a time of personal reflection, on this day we reflect as a community.
This event includes a presentation about the meaning of the holiday, how it is celebrated in Israel, and a discussion on how it can be relevant to all Jews.
Sigal Sandaka, Shlicha at GW Hillel in Washington DC, and a friend of our Shlichim, Hanna and Oz, will join us on Zoom to share her family's special story.
After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the event on Zoom.
