Bring your blankets, pillows and snuggle up for movie night at Temple Beth El. Come for one or both films and dinner. We’ll have snacks during the movies and we’re bringing in a yummy Chinese food dinner from Hong Kong Café and donuts in honor of the first night of Hanukkah. Please bring candles and your Hanukkiah to light together at dinner as we usher in the festival of lights.

Zootopia (PG) In this animated film, “the city of Zootopia is a mammal metropolis where various animals live and thrive. When Judy Hopps (Ginnifer Goodwin) becomes the first rabbit to join the police force, she quickly learns how tough it is to enforce the law. Determined to prove herself, Judy jumps at the opportunity to solve a mysterious case. Unfortunately, that means working with Nick Wilde (Jason Bateman), a wily fox who makes her job even harder.”

Everything’s Illuminated (PG-13) “A young Jewish-American man obsessed with his family history, Jonathan Safran Foer (Elijah Wood) decides to journey to Ukraine to find out more about the life of his grandfather. Guided by Alex (Eugene Hutz), a rap-obsessed local, Jonathan ventures into the heartland of Ukraine seeking to shed light on events that occurred to his grandfather during World War II. Joining Jonathan and Alex is the latter’s surly grandfather (Boris Leskin) and a dog named Sammy Davis Jr. Jr.”
