“Come on down, come on by, hop on a carpet and fly” to A Magical Purim Carnival - presented by Beth Israel Center, Congregation Shaarei Shamayim, Jewish Federation of Madison, and Temple Beth El! Grab your broomstick and magic wand and join us for a magical-themed Purim Carnival at Temple Beth El at 2702 Arbor Dr. Madison. See Tinkerbell Esther, Genie Mordachai, and Elsa Esther, plus more in our fabulous Purim Spiel, watch magic performances by the Amazing Mr. Magic, and play games to win prizes and show off your skills! Wear your favorite costumes, and we will see you there!

Admission includes entertainment and games. Just Veggiez will be selling lunch items.

10:00 am - Doors open with limited carnival entertainment and activities (roving magic, crafts, etc.)10:30 am - Magical Purim Begins
10:35 am - A Magical Purim Spiel with Jewish community clergy and staff followed by a costume parade
10:50 am - 1:30 pm - Carnival festivities open (after the spiel) with carnival games, activities, crafts, prizes, food sales, and more!
12:30 pm - 1:00 pm - Performance by the Amazing Mr. Magic 1:30 pm - Doors close

Admission (​includes entertainment and games)

• Ages 2 - 12: $9 per child ($25 maximum for 3 or more children) for advance online registration through Thursday, March 6; $10 per child ($30 maximum for 3 or more children) starting Friday, March 6, or at the door.
• Adults or children under 2 years: No charge.

Volunteer
Volunteer to help make the magic happen! Available opportunities include set-up, clean-up, admission/check-in, running activities, and games, giving out prizes, and taking photos. We love any and all volunteers, including teens and those who don't have kids participating in the carnival, to let those kiddos and their guardians enjoy the fun and games together. Hamantaschen by Adamah at UW Hillel are for sale by the dozen in advance and individually at the carnival. All hamantaschen are parve and certified kosher by Wisconsin K. Flavors are available: Apricot, strawberry, apple, poppy, and pineapple-orange. $15.95 per dozen. Pickup is available at multiple locations. The order deadline is March 2, but please order early, as supplies could run out! See details and order.
