Community Purim Carnival (JFM, BIC, CSS, TBE, UW Hillel)

You are invited to Madison’s "Out Of This World" themed Community Purim Carnival, presented by Beth Israel Center, Congregation Shaarei Shamayim, Jewish Federation of Madison, Temple Beth El, and UW Hillel - and hosted this year at Beth Israel Center. Come and hear a Purim spiel led by our clergy and educators, play carnival games, and win prizes!

Schedule
9:45 am - Doors Open
10:00 am - Purim Spiel with Clergy and Educators
10:15 am - 11:30 am - Carnival Games, Activities, and Prizes with Hamantaschen and Snacks for Sale
11:45 am - Doors Close

Admission

  • Ages 2-12
    $7 per child for advance online registration by 5:30 pm on Friday, March 3 
    $10 per child at the door after 5:30 pm on Friday, March 3
  • Adults & Under 2
    No charge

Online registration is preferred, but walk-ins are welcome.

Volunteers Wanted!
Calling all Teens and Adults...Volunteer to help make the fun happen at the Community Purim Carnival! Help run activity and game booths, give out prizes, and sell snacks.

Order Hamantaschen
Hamantaschen by Adamah at UW Hillel are for sale by the dozen in advance and individually at the carnival. All Hamantashen are Parve and certified Kosher by Wisconsin K. Boxes are assorted - Raspberry, Apricot, Apple, and Poppy - $15.95 per dozen. Pick-up is available at multiple locations. The order deadline is Friday, February 24, but please order early, as supplies could run out.

Volunteer Opportunity: Making Mishloach Manot
11:45 am - 1:00 pm

Immediately following the Community Purim Carnival, join Jewish Federation of Madison and Jewish Social Services for lunch while we do a mitzvah (a good deed) of making cards and Purim bags for older adults in our community. RSVP required.
