The Conney Project on Jewish Arts, is an educational initiative of the University of Wisconsin’s Mosse/Weinstein Center for Jewish Studies. It supports new narratives of Jewish identity in all arts, both traditional and contemporary. The Conney Project also raises awareness of the contributions of Jewish artists and scholars while fostering new scholarship and production in the arts.
As a result, The Conney Project has created an anthology of more than 50 papers, performances and films – a true narrative that speaks to the role of Jewish artists and scholars in shaping 20th and 21st century art practices. Made possible by the ongoing support of Marv and Babe Conney, The Conney Project will continue to be shining legacy of the couple’s commitment and love for Jewish arts.
