The Mayrent Institute for Yiddish Culture brings back to campus the sounds of mame loshn (mother tongue) with Der Shmues, a lively and informal Yiddish conversation group. Whether you are a native speaker, spoke it as a child or are interested in learning Yiddish, plan on joining us. The shmues will be co-hosted by Max Kade Institute for German-American Studies director Mark Louden and Mayrent Institute director Henry Sapoznik. Free and open to the public.
