HIAS and Jewish Social Services of Madison are coming together to offer a timely Refugee Advocacy Training this summer.

As Jewish organizations, both HIAS and JSS Madison believe that our community cannot stand idly by as the United States slams the doors on tens of thousands of victims of violence and persecution. At a national level, HIAS has been working to provide tools and training to communities around the country to be effective advocates in this moment, and this training is part of a series happening in a few select locations around the country.

At the training, we will bring together advocates and leaders who are refugee professionals, Jewish professionals, refugees, and more. This training is open to anyone interested in working on this issue with JSS and being part of ongoing local advocacy efforts for refugees and asylum seekers.
