A Tale of Love and Darkness is based on Amos Oz's international best seller. Directed by and starring Natalie Portman, the film is autobiographical and tells the tale of Oz's family’s immigration to Palestine to escape European persecution and the memories of growing up in Jerusalem before the establishment of the State of Israel.
