In honor of the historic U.S. elections featuring the first female presidential candidate, Israel Story presents a brand new live show featuring a very specific kind of protagonists--women! ‘That's What She Said’ features stories of and about Israeli women.

"That’s What She Said” tells the extraordinary stories of remarkable Israeli women, including the friendship between Moshe Dayan's 99-year-old widow and Yasser Arafat's mother-in-law; a Bedouin woman’s “silent revolution”; and a Jewish transgender woman's journey to self-discovery. With radio-style storytelling, live music, singing, dance and video and other mixed media magic, this evening will showcase exciting stage adaptations of the show's most popular stories.

Often referred to as the Israeli ‘This American Life,’ Israel Story is an award-winning podcast that celebrates their country’s diverse cultures and traditions by bringing everyday, yet extraordinary stories to life. Israel Story is distributed by PRX and produced in partnership with Tablet, a daily online magazine of Jewish news, ideas, and culture.
