Enjoy a delicious breakfast, networking, discussion with our guest presenter, Dr. Michael Sussman.

Dr. Sussman is Professor of Biochemistry at the University of Wisconsin – Madison. For many years, he has been the Director of the Biotechnology Center. In his role as Director of the UW – Madison Biotechnology Center, he leads a vast group of interdisciplinary scientists working collaboratively to pioneer efforts to achieve transformative discoveries in medicine, energy, agriculture and animal science, just to name a few. Professor Sussman received his PhD from Michigan State University. He did postdoctoral work at Yale University and the Yale Medical School.

We will discuss with Professor Sussman matters related to his own research and the research being conducted on the UW–Madison campus at the biotechnology center. Additionally, we will have him share with us his views of the growth and potential of the biotech sector in Madison and in the state of Wisconsin. Plus, we will ask him for his thoughts on current trends and issues facing researchers in this most important field of scientific discovery.
