Join us for an online viewing and engaging discussion of “The Museum,” a documentary collage depicting the life and art of the Israel Museum. The film draws us behind the building walls into the disparate lives of all who enter. We meet and learn of its patrons, its curator, its guides, and its daily visitors. As we move from room to room and from exhibit to exhibit, dazzled by the Judaica and wall art on display, we come to appreciate the complexity of Israeli life. Since the building was completed in 1965, the question might arise: “What if the walls could talk?”
Released in 2017, this documentary film is written and directed by Ran Tal and stars Artur Avakov and David Mevorah. Run time: 1 hour 14 minutes.
