Presentation and Discussion with Julia Pantoga Soriano

This program is for anyone who is themselves living with a serious medical condition or who is supporting someone who is. Julia will speak about her own experiences living with a serious medical condition and dispel common myths. She will also identify life-changing practices to help people enjoy their lives, as well as offer tools and resources to create and maintain a powerful support network.

Julia is a Quaker minister and the founder of the Sharp Turn Institute, which addresses emotional health and practicalities during the difficult transitions that a serious medical condition can evoke. She teaches classes for those who are living with a serious medical condition, as well as for caretakers and caring professionals. She covers issues such as setting priorities, asking for help, and communicating with loved ones. Information about her book, A Sharp Turn: A Step-by-Step Guide to Negotiating the First Year of a Serious Medical Condition, can be found at www.sharpturnbook.com.
