Join the Environment and Climate Change Action Team for Loop the Lake to support the Clean Lakes Alliance. This year TBE is forming a team (team name: Temple Beth El) and offering two options on June 13 around Lake Wingra, near Temple. Not only will we support the lakes, but our own health too.
Option 1: Bike Ride, 9:00 am
Meet at Wingra Park near TBE. After a brief opening kickoff, join Marta and Sherie for a bike ride around Lake Wingra. We’ll head west first along a route that’s a little over 6 miles.
Option 2: Walk, 9:00 am
Meet at Wingra Park near TBE. After a brief opening kickoff, join Aleeza to walk around part of Lake Wingra and back to our starting point. We’ll walk in the opposite direction from the bikers, toward Vilas Park and then back to Wingra Park, about a 3-mile walk.
As appropriate, please bring your bike, helmet, water bottle, and mask. Please follow any CDC guidelines. We will not do a formal closing, so after you complete your ride/walk, you may go about your day.
Please register for Loop the Lake directly with the Clean Lakes Alliance through Eventbrite (team name: Temple Beth El). $35 per adult rider/walker. Free for children 10 and under with purchase of adult registration.
All registered participants will receive a super-soft event tee. Register by May 10 to ensure your shirt arrives before June 13. Registration is open through June 20.
Event proceeds will support Clean Lakes Alliance’s work to protect and improve our lakes through on-the-ground projects, educational programs, and water quality monitoring.
If you have any questions about Loop the Lake or the Environment and Climate Change Action Team, please contact Aleeza A. Hoffert at engage@tbemadison.org or 608-238-3123. We encourage you to sign up to participate and support our lakes even if you need to ride/walk at a different time.
Thanks for participating with the Environment and Climate Change Action Team. We look forward to seeing you in the great outdoors.
