The night before a Madison Minyan (in general, 2nd Friday of the month) someone in the community hosts a cooking party, which is a chance for those without kosher kitchens to prepare food that can be eaten by everyone else. These are not exactly from 7-10pm but are generally in that range.
Please contact food@madisonminyan.com for the time and place of this month's party. In addition to its culinary value, the cooking party is a nice chance to get to know minyan leaders and members in an informal setting and for those reasons can be a nice way for newcomers to meet those who have been here for longer.
