Out of the Whirlwind: The Book of Job with Rabbi Rena Blumenthal
Tuesdays, October 12, 19, 26, and November 2, 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
In this class we will do a close reading of the Book of Job, one of the most misunderstood books in the Tanakh. In exquisite poetry, this book explores the millennia-old question as to whether the world rests on a divine foundation of justice, and what it means to live spiritually engaged lives in an apparently unjust world. Although we will engage with the original Hebrew text, no knowledge of Hebrew is required. This will be primarily a discussion-based class and will be held on Zoom.
Members: $60, Non-members: $95. Full and partial scholarships are available. Register by Thursday, October 7.
