The weeks following Passover are a rich period on the Jewish Calendar. Rabbi Renee Bauer will teach a class that will help participants deepen their relationship to this period. On Shavuot we read the Book of Ruth. This is a fascinating text that is one of the most moving books of the Bible. It has much to teach us about contemporary issues including immigration, intermarriage, and conversion. No prior knowledge is required.
