Please join us for Shabbat worship in person or via livestream through YouTube. A light nosh is available before the service, starting at 5:15 pm. On this Shabbat Tzedek (justice) we will hear from Jason Mack, director of Open Doors for Refugees. He will talk about how refugee resettlement efforts have changed in the last year, where agencies are putting their efforts now, and how we can focus on the future and sustain this work over the long haul. He will also address how our community can get involved with these efforts.

Jason Mack began as the executive director of Open Doors for Refugees in October of 2024. Before that, he was the pastor of Underwood Memorial Baptist Church in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, and previously served as the associate pastor at First Baptist Church in Madison and as the founding pastor of New Leaf Church in College Park, Maryland. He holds a master’s degree from Wesley Seminary and a doctorate from Central Seminary where he studied organizational leadership and innovation.
