This year, our Social Action Shabbat will focus on climate action. We'll hear from Dane County Executive Joe Parisi about how climate change is impacting Dane County and what Dane County is doing to increase climate resilience and reduce countywide emissions. County Executive Parisi will summarize efforts within county government operations as well as communitywide initiatives that create opportunities for businesses, nonprofits, local governments, and households to take action. You can read more about Mr. Parisi here. Dane County has been recognized as one of the top local governments in the world for its environmental transparency and action.

Additionally, our Environment and Climate Change Action Team will share actions you can take in your daily life to help our planet. We hope you'll take on one or more of these and make them a part of your regular behaviors as we usher in Shabbat together.
