The Spiritual Development of the Young Child - Using Nature as our Classroom
An incredible opportunity for families with young children. Jewish Early Childhood expert Deborah Schein will be in Madison and will lead this engaging, hands on workshop for parents, grandparents, and caregivers.
About the Program
Dr. Deborah Schein is the author of the blog Growing Wonder and the book What’s Jewish About Butterflies. She believes nature has a key role to play in the development of children’s spirituality. Join her for this hands-on workshop that will allow you to explore, create and connect with your child in a new way.
Program Part One
For the Adults: Workshop with Deborah Schein that includes nature exploration activities combining the Reggio Emilia Approach and Jewish Education
For the Kids: Open play childcare (downstairs at Gan HaYeled Preschool)
Program Part Two
Kids and Adults will participate together in a nature-walk and create a nature toy called a "nattle"
Cost
$18 per adult participant. Space is limited.

This activity is most appropriate for adults with children 0-6 years old. Parents are welcome to attend with or without kids.
