The war in Gaza following Hamas’ October 7 attack on Israel has pushed us to revisit our understanding of Zionism. To help us rethink the meaning of Zionism amidst the war in Gaza and rising global antisemitism, we have invited four members of the larger Madison Jewish community to share their thoughts.

The annual Swarsensky Memorial Weekend is a time of community learning, honoring the memory of Rabbi Manfred Swarsensky, who served as rabbi of Temple Beth El from 1940 to 1976.
