About the Film (from DVD cover)
Beginning in 1959, the Egyptian born Cohen is recruited by Mossad to infiltrate the Syrian government. His success allows him to rise to the top echelons of Syria’s government, enabling him to pass top secret information, crucial to the 1967 Six Day War, to Israeli intelligence.

Produced in 1987, this melodramatic drama contains all the elements of a spy thriller. The fact that it actually took place in real time lends to our emotional involvement as we are drawn from one inevitable situation to the next.
The DVD includes a Timeline of Israeli history frm1947 to the conclusion of the Elie Cohen saga.
