Please join us for our Tu B'shvat celebration on Sunday, February 5, 2023 at 5:30 pm at First Unitarian Society Meeting House. This event will feature guided meditation, and a mindful Tu B'shevat seder with singing. If you have any questions, please contact the CSS office.
Register to let us know you're coming, and please bring a vegetarian dish to pass for the potluck dinner. We also need your help -- please register to let us know you're coming, and sign up to bring fruits, nuts, and wine/juice to share, and a vegetarian dish for the potluck dinner. In the spirit of ecology and honoring the trees, we ask people to bring their own silverware and plates.
Many Jews celebrate Tu B'shevat, "The New Year of the Trees," by eating new fruits, donating money to environmental organizations and by planting trees. In the 16th century Jewish Kabbalists in the city of Safed developed a seder on Tu B'Shvat to symbolized the four worlds of mystic Jewish thought.
Event is free, but please register.
