10:00 am Pewit’s Nest
First explore one of Wisconsin’s beautiful hidden gems - a dramatic gorge with waterfalls just 2 miles from Devil’s Lake. We’ll start with an easy, ¼ mile walk from the parking lot through beautiful forest to a sandy beach at the base of the gorge and waterfalls. Then walk up a short hill for the best views of the full gorge and waterfalls. (access to swimming at Pewit’s Nest is temporarily roped off, so we’ll keep our swim suits dry until we reach Devil’s Lake.

12:15 pm Devil’s Lake Picnic and Swim (2 miles from Pewit’s Nest)
Meet by Devil’s Lake Canoe and Kayak Rental. Look for blue and white Hadassah flag

Directions to Pewit’s Nest: From Madison, take Hwy 12 into Baraboo. Turn left on Country Rd. W and travel 1.5 miles. Parking at Pewit’s Nest Natural Area is limited carpooling is recommended.
