With great sadness, we write to inform you of the death of Corlie Blumenfeld, wife of Sol "Poppi" Blumenfeld (z''l); mother of Mark Blumenfeld (Lora Wiggins), Michael (Kathy) Blumenfeld, Ruth Blumenfeld (David Dobrofsky), and Amy (Gregg) Bogost; grandmother of Rachael Blumenfeld (Barry Sherman), Andrew Blumenfeld, Allison Blumenfeld (Nick Nielson), Zachary (Carly) Blumenfeld, Joshua (Zoe) Blumenfeld, Rebekah Blumenfeld, Daniel Fogliani, Steven Fogliani, Max Bogost, Jacob Bogost, and Elliana Bogost. Corlie passed away on Thursday, March 26, in Madison, WI.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 31, at 11:00 am, at Temple Beth El, 2707 Arbor Drive, Madison, to be followed by interment at Forest Hill Cemetery, at 1 Speedway. A meal of condolence back at Temple Beth El will follow. A shivah minyan will take place on Tuesday, March 31, at 6:00 pm at the home of Amy & Gregg Bogost, 6203 S. Highlands Ave., Madison.

Sh’mirah is the mitzvah of watching over a person so that s/he is not left unattended during the time before the funeral.
