With great sadness, we write to inform you of the passing of Lee Lewis, husband of Susan Lewis, father of Marla (Ken) Becker, Randy (Erica), and Jenny (Brett), and grandfather to Elora, Maya, Baila, Anderson, Sami, Everett, Gabe, and Jordan.
Born in Indianapolis, Lee was a graduate of Purdue University, where he was a proud Sammy (Sigma Alpha Mu). He went to ROTC and eventually served in the Army, where he was stationed at Ft. Leonard Wood and earned the rank of officer. Even though his degree was in engineering, in the army, he served as an attorney and never lost a case. Lee got a job at McDonnell Douglas, which brought him out to CA, where he met his beloved Susan, and the two built their beautiful family.
Lee lived life to its fullest and never let the opinions of others define who he was. He was extremely quirky, funny, frugal, and had a deep, deep love for his family - he lived for his family, especially his grandchildren. He had a passion for music, musicals, golf, bowling, dancing, the stock market, and Costco. His incredible mind loved numbers and challenges, and he used to play games and make bets with his family, which created endless smiles.
The funeral took place on Tuesday, March 21, in California. Shiva was also observed in California.
May Lee’s memory be for a blessing.
