With great sadness, we write to inform you of the death on Wednesday night of Reine Rothblatt (nee Reinert), mother of Naomi (Mark) Shumway, grandmother of Katrina and Riley Shumway, sister of Wilma Nihil, sister-in-law of Abraham Rothblatt and Agnes Rothblatt, aunt of Murray Kapell, Brian Kapell, Cheryl (Gary) Lerner, Dan (Jayne) Rothblatt, Andre (Anastasia) Rothblatt, and Raul (Jennifer) Rothblatt.

She was preceded in death by her husband, I. David Rothblatt, son of the legendary Beth Israel Center gabbai, Mr. Benjamin Rothblatt.

The burial will be at 11:00 am on Sunday, September 13. Only those expressly invited by the family may attend in person. Others may attend via Zoom.

The family would appreciate sharing memories of Reine during online (Zoom) minyan next week at Beth Israel Center:

• Monday, September 14 through Friday, September 18 mornings at 8:00 am
• Monday, September 14 through Thursday, September 17 evenings at 5:30 pm
