Below is the letter sent on Thursday, June 10 via email to all 2021 Goodman Aquatic Center members about the delay in being able to open the pool as scheduled due to unforeseen mechanical issues.
We are writing to let you know that we are not going to be able to open the pool as hoped and planned on Saturday, June 12, due to unforeseen mechanical issues that arose on Thursday, June 10. These issues are out of our control and not something we were expecting to be facing. We should know more by Monday, June 14, as to when we will be able to open. We are hoping for next weekend at the very latest and will let you know as soon as we know.
We know that this comes as very disappointing and frustrating news. Trust us when we say that we all feel the same way. We have been working tirelessly for the past several weeks to get everything ready to welcome you back after being closed last summer. While it feels like a huge setback right now, we are continuing to do all we can and are pushing forward in an effort to still make this summer a great one.
While we know there is nothing that can really make up for this type of unexpected and disappointing news, we will be offering each person listed on every family/individual membership purchased before June 11 a one-time coupon to be used in our concession stand (value up to $5.00 per person) at any visit of your choice throughout the 2021 summer season. We will have a record on file for each membership, so all you will need to do is let us know your name at the time of your purchase. We hope you will accept this offer as a token of our appreciation for your patronage.
