NOBO Winter Break Program

We are offering a small (30 camper max) winter break program at Camp Shalom for NOBO (6th-9th graders) this year over the same four days/times. Programming will focus on off-site outdoor fun such as downhill and cross-country skiing, snowboarding and tubing, ice fishing, and winter hiking, with indoor alternative activities, such as water parks, Boulders climbing gym, Urban Air/Sky Zone, and pottery making, if weather requires. We will also join in on the Friday afternoon Shabbat celebration at camp. Given the limited capacity, current NOBO campers will receive priority registration this year.

Registration

Registration Opens 11/3 for Winter Break Camp 2025.

CAMP SHALOM SCHOOL BREAK CAMP REGISTRATION POLICIES & PROCEDURES

Each school break session has a maximum enrollment. Should registration exceed enrollment capacity, the Camp Shalom Committee’s enrollment policy will be followed based on date of registration. The following criteria will be used to determine enrollment by session: 1) Returning campers; 2) Siblings of campers or former campers; 3) space availability in age-group; 4) A witnessed lottery. To ensure equitable treatment, registration is ONLINE or by MAIL ONLY.

Camp Shalom school break camps are open for kids in kindergarten through fifth grade - regardless of color, gender, race, religion, ancestry, creed, sexual orientation, political persuasion, disability, or national origin.

Camp Shalom welcomes and strives to meet the needs of all campers. Campers with any disabilities/special needs may require more attention and supervision than our staff is able to provide on its own. We ask that families clearly indicate special needs on the Registration Form so that we may talk with parents directly. Failure to provide accurate information may result in our being unable to serve your child when camp begins. Ongoing 1:1 supervision and support cannot be provided by Camp Shalom staff. Please contact Camp Shalom administration upon registering if you are considering using an outside agency to support campers who are likely to require time away from their group or need 1:1 assistance during the camp day.

All fees must be paid at the time of registration for school break camps. If you must cancel, refunds will only be granted if the space can be filled. There is a $10 non-refundable registration fee.

Transportation: Camp Shalom provides transportation to and from the Goodman Campus ONLY from bus stops listed (locations and times scheduled after registration, determined by enrollment). Campers MUST get on and off the bus at the same stop each day. There is no bus fee for school break camps.

Campers who are not using the bus should be dropped off at the Goodman Campus at 9:00 am and picked up by 3:30 pm.

Forms: Prior to camp attendance, current immunization and additional records are needed, per licensing regulations. Forms are provided by Camp Shalom Forms with registration (or download the immunization form now: PDF version). All forms are due by December 29, 2025. No child will be allowed to attend until the form is received. If this form was already turned in for summer 2025, a repeat is not needed.

Camp Shalom reserves the right to suspend and/or expel any camper whose behavior is deemed unacceptable. Please review the Code of Conduct (also a form on Active) with your camper prior to the first day of camp.
