The Jewish Federation of Madison is thrilled to announce that Deborah Kades has joined our staff team in the position of Interim Director of Midrasha Hebrew High School!
A Madison resident since 1997, Deborah Kades is excited about her new role serving the Jewish community. Her two children attended Gan HaYeled Preschool and Camp Shalom, where her son was also a counselor. She was editor of the Monthly Reporter when it was in print. She worked as a newspaper reporter and editor for 25 years before becoming a teacher. She retired from West High School in the Madison Metropolitan School District in 2021. She served as chair of the Gan HaYeled committee and was active in the Jewish Artists Lab. She looks forward to meeting community members and learning about their ideas for Midrasha. Welcome Deborah!
